I recommend following the suggestions about measurements and using the suggested size.
Each dress is made differently regardless of the size.

I received a lot of compliments on this dress and would highly recommend it. The sequin does get snag now and then under the arms but I still enjoyed this dress. I felt like royalty.

It is so beautiful, I am 5' 4" , 194 lbs, I got a size 16 and it fits me perfectly. Beautiful fabric, perfect length with my high heels. Thr sequins give a nice shimmering effect. Got it in black and I couldn't be happier with my selection. Also it came fairly quick, free shipping.
