1. Determine Your Skin’s Undertone
Undertone means exactly what it sounds like. The tones underneath the surface of your skin are referred to undertones. Picking the right color for your complexion depends on whether you have cool, warm or neutral undertones.

Pay attention to the veins of your palm or wrist. People with cool undertones have blue or purple veins, while people with warm undertones have veins that are green-looking. If you can’t determine the color of your veins, or if blue/purple and green are both represented, you probably have a neutral skin tone.
2. Chose a Color Based on Your Skin’s Undertone
A rule of thumb is that cool colors have a blue tint, while warm colors have a yellow one.

Cool Undertones
Fresh pink, ice blue (light blue) and purple are the most flattering colors if you have cool undertone. The cool tone will compliment your skin and give you a vibrant look for your next event.

Warm Undertones
For warm-toned beauties, corals, orange and red with orange tints are the perfect match. These warm tones will accentuate your features and brighten you up.
